To give myself something to do on a (ir)regular basis, because I'm bored, and because I like making other people listen to my music, I'm going to start making a list of some of my favorite songs, maybe make a comment or two about them, and see what you guys think of them. I'm posting my webcam live stream on here so friends can go see me whenever they want lol, there's a chat room there too if you want to talk to me, although you're more likely to get a response on AIM. Feel free to come look whenever you want, I plan to keep it on a majority of the day, probably from whenever I wake up to when I go to sleep. It's mostly so Jordan can see me while I'm not in Winston, but I figure if I feel like someone's watching over my shoulder (or over my monitor) I might get more work done. =P

Need to complain

I felt I needed to complain for all to see so...
My Database teacher assigned us all "pre-exam" work, which is to be turned in Friday 3:00 PM. He assigned this via email on Tuesday 11:51 AM. Before this, none of us even knew of its existence. The "pre-exam" work is to make a database ER diagram and relational schema diagramming a video store, based on the information given. In the email he said, "I don't expect it to take more than 2-3 hours." If this were even the case, and even though this is a college course, doesn't it seem a bit ridiculous to assign something that's going to take 2-3 hours of your time with 3 days notice during the midd

Hey........I am new to dungeons and dragons, know any sites that can help me? Or anyone who I can play with?
Hey there, happy to help where I can. A lot of it will depend on what edition of the game you want to play. I'll admit I'm not very familiar with anything past 3.5 or pathfinder where D&D is concerned. There are a lot of great free resources out there if you are intimidated by buying a lot of $40+ books such as www.d20srd.org/ (Version 3.5) www.d20pfsrd.com/ (Pathfinder) and 5thsrd.org/ (5th edition). There really isn't a great substitute for having a person teach you the basics in the flesh. If you can find someone local or a game shop that you trust I would try there first.

Well I don't really have a local game shop, or any shops players would be found at......................Being that I live in a suburban town far from the nearby citys, and no transportation, so I am forced to do things via chat instead of in person
Yeah, I'm about 45 minutes away from the nearest active game shop, so I know what you mean. Without a lot of the basics taught to you beforehand, the SRD pages I linked can be very intimidating and not very easy to follow. Give me a day or two and I'll see what else I can come up with for you
